Small Electrical Jobs in Brighton, Hove & East Sussex

A lot of people put off calling an electrician because they think the job’s too small. I hear it all the time: “It’s only a little thing,” or “You’re probably too busy for this.”

Truth is, those small jobs are just as important as the big ones. A dodgy light, a socket that doesn’t work, or a noisy bathroom fan might not take long to fix, but they can make your home safer, more comfortable, and a lot less hassle.

The kind of jobs I get called for

Day to day, I’m helping customers across Brighton, Hove and East Sussex with things like:

  • Replacing old or broken lights 💡
  • Adding sockets where they’re actually useful 🔌
  • Swapping switches for dimmers
  • Checking or upgrading smoke and heat alarms 🚨
  • Sorting flickering lights
  • Fitting decorative pendants and new light fittings
  • Checking outdoor sockets and garden lighting

These might seem like quick jobs, but they can make a big difference to how your home looks and feels.

Why it’s worth getting them sorted

Sometimes a “small issue” is really the start of a bigger problem — bulbs blowing too often, crackling sockets, loose switches. Left alone, they can turn into something more serious (and more expensive). Getting them sorted early is always better.

A hand for those who need it

Not everyone’s confident with electrics, and not everyone wants to climb a ladder to change a bulb. I’m happy to help with the little things — from testing smoke alarms to setting up timers or replacing fittings in awkward spots.

Reliable, tidy, local

I take the same approach with every job, whether it’s a full rewire or swapping a pendant light: turn up when I say I will, work neatly, and leave your home as tidy as I found it.

If you’ve got a list of niggly jobs you’ve been meaning to get done, don’t put it off. Give me a call and I’ll get them sorted.
